There’s no such thing as a small act of kindness; every act creates a ripple with no logical end. That’s what students in Florida elementary schools have been learning thanks to the Think Kindness Organization.

Students at Gorrie Elementary School in Tampa, Florida were given a presentation by the Think Kindness Organization, whose mission is to inspire measurable acts of kindness in schools and communities around the world.

After their presentation on the power of kindness, the school and children were inspired to do 5,000 acts of kindness in 15 days.

In just one week, the 579 students have done more than 3,000 acts of kindness.
“It’s crazy to see just how many wonderful things that they have done. Just because it’s the right thing to do,” teacher Jennifer Moon said.

They’re being kind and courteous to each other and their teachers, leaving positive and inspirational sticky notes and giving beautiful compliments to their classmates.  This habit of kindness being taught is sure to stay with them for the rest of their lives.

The challenge is part of the school’s theme, “Kind is Cool.” The school hopes the atmosphere that kindness creates will make for a better learning environment.

Every person on this planet can think of at least one Kind act that made your day a little brighter. It is our mission to inspire these Kind acts,” It beautifully explains on ThinkKindness.org.
