Kind 8-Year-Old Boy Spent 2 Years Growing His Hair Out To Make Wigs For Children With Cancer

When Thomas Moore saw his mom watching a video on Facebook about a girl who had lost her hair to cancer, he had an idea. The almost 8-eight-year-old decided to start growing his hair out for other children who had lost theirs to chemotherapy, and that’s exactly what he did. For the next two years.

It’s quite an impressive feat for anyone to spend two years of their lives working towards a goal of compassion, and it’s even more impressive when a child under 10 years old is able to accomplish such a wonderful feat. As you can see from the pictures below, Thomas grew a pretty impressive amount of hair as well! In fact, by the time he was done with his heartwarming project of kindness, Thomas had enough hair to make three full wigs!

After his haircut, his aunt, Amber Ray, posted a before-and-after picture online, and it’s since been shared thousands upon thousands of times by people who are moved in their hearts by how wonderful this child’s heart is.

If you have children, consider showing them examples and videos of people practicing kindness and compassion for others. Children learn through the examples of others, and they are already naturally pure of heart and full of love…. and don’t be surprised when they become little heroes of compassion themselves, just like Thomas Moore.
