His Mom Said He Could Adopt A Puppy Or Cat; He Chose This 10-Yr-Old Cat Who Had Just Lost His Home

When a young Canadian boy was told that he could pick out any puppy or cat at the Exploits Valley animal shelter, the child’s kind heart bonded with a 10-year-old cat named ‘Tiny’ and the two have been best friends ever since.

Most parents expect that their children would want a new puppy compared to an older animal, as any animal shelter will tell you that older animals are usually much harder to get adoptions for, but that’s the beauty of a child’s heart. Little Easton loved this large orange cat named Tiny, and this was going to be his new furry loved one.

“Tiny isn’t a picky eater, but is ‘weight challenged’ and has a big round belly that he loves to have rubbed,” Tiny’s description read.

On their way home from the shelter, they let Tiny out of his cage and the cat which had been also labeled as “shy” came and cuddled with Easton for their whole ride home.

Happy for her son, and for Tiny, Easton’s mother took a picture and sent it with the Exploits Valley SPCA, who shared the following message online:

“Easton’s Mom told him he could adopt a new pet. He had the choice between a puppy dog or a cat. He chose to adopt Tiny, a 10 year old cat who had just lost his home. On the ride home Tiny got out of his cage and cuddled in with his new owner and has been stuck to him ever since. ❤️ Great job Easton, Tiny is one lucky cat!”

Smiles have been brought to many faces after seeing the pure love between Easton and Tiny.

“What a thoughtful young man. Wish them many good years together,” commented Fran F.

“So sweet,” wrote Pam S.

“Great she will love him forever,” wrote Toy R.

“God bless you! ❤” said Suzanne W.

“What a good guy!” wrote Jamye R.

The pure love from a child’s heart is surely beautiful.

You are Loved.
