This Kind Man Bought A Stranger His Coffee, Told Him He Is Blessed And Will Do Great Things In Life

0

“So I walked into Starbucks this afternoon looking to buy the new Horchata Almond Milk Frapuccino for my lady and I. This man comes along and simply asks ‘How are you doing today young man?’ I responded ‘I’m doing just fine, and yourself sir?’ And as I began to place my order with the Starbucks representative, he says ‘What’s this young gentleman having today? Well whatever it is, I’m covering it.’

For a second I thought to myself, why is this man coming out of pocket for me, when he knows nothing about me? Why is he smiling at me, even though he knew I had the money to pay for our drinks to begin with? Well, this definitely caught me off guard. I had no idea how to react but to say, that I was very appreciative of such a nice gesture from a man that I didn’t even know.

I told him he didn’t have to use the rest of his his money to purchase my drinks, but all he did was leave me with words of wisdom, and he said ‘It’s either put up, or shut up in today’s society. We are so busy fighting each other, that we forget that we all live in this world together. It’s important that we show love towards people in our community. Because we have to work together to make things right. You’re a blessed young man, and you seem like you’re going to do a lot of great things in this world.’

The lady that took this photo of us was so choked up, she was at a loss of words. She simply said, ‘Such a wonderful thing to see in our community. People coming together and showing some love. You don’t see that everyday.’ And in that moment, I said to myself that life is so much bigger than hatred, or to have dislike towards one another just because of nationality, race, ethnic background or the color of our skin. This simply proves that we can all come together as a country and look past all of the nonsense, and stand up for what’s right. Instead of waiting for things to transpire, let’s start by coming together and being united as one to make a statement to the people in our society and show the younger generation the meaning of equality and what it is to be a proud American.”

After The Heartbreaking Events Of Charlottesville, A Stranger’s Act Of Kindness Stopped People In Their Tracks

0

During a time when racism and hate were on the rise, one kind man decided to show a stranger that skin color did not stop his heart from loving him.

America mourned the violence that occurred in Charlottesville, Virginia, when neo-Nazis and white nationalists gathered to protest both the removal of a Confederate Robert E. Lee monument and the freeing of the slaves. The hate-group drove their car at high speeds through a group of counter-protestors, causing tragic injuries and the death of Heather Heyer.

That same day, more than 1,000 miles away, Jennifer Colyer was walking with her family to get some food at the Iowa State Fair when details of the violence were learned. It was during this time that she witnessed a beautiful act of kindness between two strangers and then shared the story online:

“In the midst of what’s unfolding in Charlottesville, I couldn’t help but share something I witnessed at the Iowa State Fair on Saturday. As my parents and I walked up the hill to get a little food, I noticed the man on the left sitting by himself. On our way back – not more than 10 minutes later – this stopped me in my tracks…”

“When the man on the right finished his prayer, the men hugged each other before going their separate ways. We may not be able to travel to Virginia or wherever the next demonstration of hate will be, but we can love right where we are.”

When people choose to promote racism, hatred and violence, one of the best things we can do is to boldly promote love, kindness and compassion, just as the kind stranger did at the Iowa State Fair.

only love can do that.”

Instead Of Skipping School, She Brought Her Brother To Class With Her

“We had a family emergency type situation today that required our teenager to leave school early and pick up her little brother from his school. I thought she took him home until I saw her snapchat.

Instead of missing class she actually took her three year old brother back to high school with her and let him sleep on her while she finished her last class of the day.

I’m not sure on the legalities here or what kind of rules were broken but I also just don’t care. My sweet teenager helped her family out and returned to her other responsibility while snuggling her baby brother.

I’m either the worst mom in the world or totally nailing it. Please don’t tell me which one , let me live in ignorant bliss while I stare at this picture.

Life is short. These are the moments that make it so incredibly sweet.”

He Was Unable To Buy Food Until A Kind Stranger Decided To Help Him

“I was at McDonald’s in Poughkeepsie, NY tonight around 10:30 getting the girl some fries and a milkshake when I noticed the guy sitting down next to his bike.”

“I kinda had a feeling he wanted to get food but couldn’t, (no car, lobby closed) so I offered to go around the drive-thru for him. He pulled out a crumpled up coupon for a BOGO Big Mac and was struggling to get all the money together so I offered to buy his meal.”

“The sad thing is prior to that, we watched car after car pass him right by. And I thought to myself, that must be a terrible experience watching the world go right by you like that and not pay you any attention, like you don’t even exist.”

“It made me realize this world goes by so fast that sometimes we forget the simple and basic good human qualities that we all possess like empathy, humility, compassion and more importantly, generosity.”

So please if you’re going to get anything out of this post, be kind to others because one day you could be the one sitting on a curb next to your bike, starving with the world passing you by.”

Child Without A Dad Couldn’t Catch Any Fish Until This Man’s Act Of Kindness

0

It’s important for children to have kind male role models in their lives.

Cordell is a young man without a father in his life, so Cordell’s grandma decided to take him fishing one day as she knows that it’s important for him to have someone to do outdoor activities with. He was unable to catch a single fish, that is, until a kind stranger lent young Cordell a friendly and almost Fatherly hand.

Cordell’s grandmother and mother, Terin M. Spence, were so moved by the man’s kindness for young Cordell that they shared the following post online:

“So today, my mom took my boy fishing, ya know, to make memories, that’s their thing. He wasn’t catching anything until this super kind stranger decided to help my baby out. (Big deal for us since Cordell doesn’t have a man in his life that does these things with him) my baby caught 3 fish! My mom said the excitement on his face was absolutely priceless!”

“So, for that I am so grateful! His name is William. If you know him, tag him… maybe he could have a chance to know the impact he made on this little boy today… this restores my faith in humanity… good people still exist.”

Thanks to the kindness of William, Cordell was able to have a great day fishing, and he also received some of the kindness and love from an older male role model.

A Father provides loving guidance and helps their child figure out how to live this beautiful experience called life. Yet growing up without a Father can leave children feeling like something is missing. Studies have shown that father involvement is correlated with higher levels of sociability, confidence, and self-control in children. Children with involved fathers are less likely to act out in school or engage in risky behaviors in adolescence. Father engagement also reduces psychological problems and rates of depression in young women.
